Founded in 2006 in Costa Mesa, California, SALT. partners with the world's best craftsmen to do the work. Frames are handcrafted in Japan using cellulose acetate from Takiron Rowland — widely regarded as the premier acetate manufacturer anywhere — paired with Japanese titanium and polarised optics. The brand operates its own boutiques in Studio City, Newport Beach, and San Juan Capistrano, and is carried by a small network of independent opticians worldwide.
