Contact lenses work best when they're fit properly and cared for over time. That's the part we take seriously, here in downtown Halifax. The rest, we make easy.
For most contact lens wearers, single-use daily disposable lenses are the right answer — and the modern ones are good enough that "default daily" is the recommendation, not the budget option.
A fresh pair every day means no cleaning solutions, no protein buildup, and a meaningfully lower infection risk. They're easier to travel with. They're easier on your eyes. If your prescription suits them, that's what we'll fit you in.
If it doesn't — daily disposables aren't right for every prescription — we'll work with you on the alternative.
The most useful thing about contact lenses is not running out of them — and not having to chase a refill or a follow-up to make sure your eyes are still happy in the lenses you've been wearing.
Our subscription bundles all of that:
It's the part of the relationship most patients tell us they didn't realize they needed until they had it.
When daily disposables aren't the right answer — strong prescriptions, complex corneal shapes, specific conditions — we fit specialty lenses too.
Rigid lenses worn overnight that gently reshape the cornea while you sleep. You take them out in the morning and see clearly through the day — no glasses, no daytime contacts. They're a strong option for an active, glasses-free lifestyle, and the same overnight wear has been shown to slow myopia progression in children. More on that on our Myopia Control page.
These rest on the white of the eye rather than the cornea, vaulting over the irregular surface beneath. For complex prescriptions, keratoconus, post-surgical eyes, or severe dry eye, they can restore vision that no other lens can.
Both are specialty fittings and take more time than a standard appointment.

Most prescriptions can be fit with contact lenses, including astigmatism and multifocal needs. The honest answer is probably yes, if you'd like to wear them. We start with a fitting appointment to make sure the lens, the prescription, and your eye surface all agree.
A first-time fitting takes longer than a standard exam — plan for an hour to ninety minutes. We need time to take measurements, trial lenses, and make sure you're confident putting them in and taking them out before you leave. Specialty fittings (ortho-K, scleral) take longer still.
Your lenses arrive on a regular schedule, your check-up appointments are scheduled and included, and your fees are spread across predictable monthly payments. You save by being on the plan, and you don't have to think about reordering.
Yes. Children can wear daily disposable contact lenses safely from a younger age than many parents expect — the research on this is well established. For children whose prescription is changing quickly, ortho-K and myopia-control daily contacts are worth a specific conversation. More on Myopia Control here.
Yes, if your prescription is current and from us. Order through our shop. New prescription, new lens type, subscriptions or it's been a while since your last check-up? We'll need to see you for a fitting first — your eyes change, and the lens that fit last year might not be the right call now. Call us or book your exam.
We participate in Canada's first contact-lens recycling program, in partnership with Bausch + Lomb and TerraCycle. Bring your used lenses and blister packs to your next visit — we'll send them on. More on how it works here.
